AI Usage Policy

The journal Science, Technologies, Innovations permits the use of artificial intelligence tools and generative AI only as auxiliary means in manuscript preparation. Full responsibility for the content of the article, the accuracy of data, the correctness of citations, the absence of plagiarism, and compliance with academic integrity rests entirely with the authors.

Authors may not list an AI system as an author or co-author of an article

Authorship may be attributed only to natural persons who have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the research, the text, and the approval of the final version of the manuscript.

What authors must disclose

If generative AI tools were used during manuscript preparation for writing text, translation, language editing, creating illustrations, tables, code, or data analysis, the authors are required to inform the editorial office at the time of submission and briefly describe the nature of such use.

Recommended wording for the manuscript or cover letter:
“During the preparation of this article, the author(s) used AI tool(s) [name] for [brief description of function]. All results were reviewed, edited, and approved by the author(s).”

What is prohibited

• using AI to fabricate or falsify data, results, references, sources, or conclusions;
• submitting AI-generated text that has not been verified by the author as a completed scholarly result;
• uploading confidential, sensitive, or personal data to open generative services without proper legal grounds and permissions;
• using AI to manipulatively conceal borrowed material or to circumvent academic integrity standards.

Policy for editors and reviewers

Editors and reviewers must not upload full manuscript texts, reviews, or accompanying materials to external generative AI services without appropriate confidentiality safeguards and without permission from the editorial office. Limited use of AI tools for language editing or technical checking is permissible only where confidential information is adequately protected.

Consequences of policy violations

Undisclosed or improper use of AI may serve as grounds for additional editorial review, rejection of the manuscript, withdrawal of the article after publication, or the application of other procedures in accordance with the journal’s policies on ethics and the handling of misconduct.
