ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN IT: INNOVATION, ETHICS AND IMPACT ON BUSINESS

Abstract. The article reveals the innovative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in information technology, focusing on their impact on the business environment, society, and ethical aspects of implementation. A comprehensive analysis of current approaches to AI usage in both global and national contexts is conducted. Based on a SWOT analysis, Ukraine’s strengths are identified, including a high level of technical expertise and a dynamic IT sector, as well as key threats and challenges such as regulatory uncertainty, low digital literacy, and institutional instability. Special attention is given to the ethical aspects of AI application, including risks related to privacy, algorithmic transparency, and discriminatory outcomes. The analysis of international experience highlights the need to adapt global ethical standards to Ukrainian realities, considering cultural and legal contexts. Practical recommendations are proposed for developing a national AI development strategy that combines regulatory policy, education and science advancement, and the engagement of business and civil society. The research results have practical significance for creating ethically balanced policies in digitalization, contributing to the formation of a competitive knowledge economy and enhancing technological security. The presented conclusions can serve as a basis for further interdisciplinary studies on AI implementation in Ukraine.
