PECULIARITIES OF THE INFLUENCE OF DEEPENED AND EXPANDED CUSTOMS UNIONS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC INTEGRATION
Abstract. One of the major directions of the development of international trade development, as a key form of international economic relations, are customs union. Also, customs union directly affect another higher form of international economic relations — integration processes. Customs unions contribute to the development of international economic integration through the intensification of trade flows and the regulation of customs policy both within the unions and in relation to third countries.
For the countries participating in customs unions, such integration interaction has its significant consequences, not only thanks to customs regulation, but also as a result of other in-depth areas of cooperation.
The article is devoted to the research of key aspects of the influence of customs unions on the development of international economic processes. The peculiarities of integrating national economies into customs unions and the conditions for their formation, as well as the expanded and deepened interaction mechanisms operating within existing unions were analyzed.
The development trends of customs unions and their impact on the national economies of member countries were researched in the article. Based on the research findings, the positive and negative factors associated with the process of customs integration were generalized.
